In honor of national son day, I would like to shine the light on this little fun loving entrepreneur that I am so proud to call my own!
Meet Calvin, a passionate soul with the ability to bring everyone to tears laughing. He is a huge animal lover...currently housing and caring for a toad, gecko, hermit crab, and our goldendoodle, Scarlet. He enjoys sports, sugar, collecting stuff, video games and most things 11 year old boys are into.
In my neighborhood, everyone knows Calvin because he has most certainly tried to sell you something at some point (sports cards, jewelry, stale Halloween candy, shower steamers, you name it). So when the family decided to host a garage sale one summer, Calvin and I put our heads together and created CGems.
It started as an idea to set free some of his “collections” and for him to make a buck doing it. It turned into a bonding experience for the both of us. He was able to make money and learn from my knowledge and I was able to spend time creating with him.
We occasionally set up a booth at the local farmers market, so keep a watch for him this summer!
