CREATING SPACES | Episode #1
PART 1
My most recent personal project was to transform my daughter’s boho chic minnie mouse room into a colorful rainbow room. While I was sad to see all of the boho decor I crafted get packed away, I was excited to create these colorful elements for the new rainbow room. I thought it would be fun to use colorful yarn to make a pom pom garland and curtain tassels. And then frame it around colorful song quotes from two of my daughter’s favorite songs. I can’t help but smile (and sing) when I walk into her room!
PART 2
This project was packed with so many fun elements! I digitally created her three favorite animals blowing bubble gum, stretched them on canvas and hung them over colorful polka dot stickers that we both measured and placed on the wall. She instantly fell in love...and now blows them all kisses at the end of the night! I had some leftover tassels and pom poms so I thought...hmm...a colorful chandelier would fit perfectly at the end of her bed!
PART 3
What’s a rainbow room without a rainbow painted on the wall! With the help of my very creative daughter...hmm, wonder where she gets it from...we danced, sang and painted a rainbow on the wall a few weekends ago. Another super cool project I worked on was refurbishing the dresser and nightstand I snagged when the home that was in my mother-in-law’s family for over 70 years sold this past summer. A lot of memories were made while working on this awesome room redo!
